Registration for the 2020 Mystery Quilt is still open! Visit the Project Linus page at www.projectlinus.org to register. Your $15 donation can be earmarked for our chapter by entering "Madison Wisconsin Chapter" for the chapter name, and "Eileen Kellor" as the chapter coordinator.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and cautions, we do not anticipate being able to hold any in-person Make a Blanket Days in the foreseeable future. Visit our Facebook page for updates on donations received and who receives them, photos from volunteers, and other items of interest. yet this year. Share your photos, too!
Contact us if your group is interested in holding an event. We can offer suggestions for ways to make the activity accessible to almost any age.
A special thank you to the many small groups who meet regularly to make blankets for Project Linus. We receive handmade blankets from community service groups as well as individuals who continually support our organization by making blankets. We appreciate you all!
Make a Blanket Day (MABD)
Many schools, churches and other organizations sponsor a Make a Blanket Day. Each organization "budgets" for this or participants purchase fabric to make into the blankets. Members from the Project Linus Madison Chapter are happy to help facilitate the event. We suggest making no-sew fleece blankets as a great way to get many people involved. There is no sewing, just cutting the fringe/selvages and tying the blankets.
